AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL ELECTIONS - May 2019

Post Specific Voting Information 

 

The Australian Federal Election will be held on 18 May 2019.

To vote you must be enrolled by 8pm, Monday 18 April (Australian time, in the electorate you’re enrolled). To enrol, check or update your enrolment details, visit www.aec.gov.au.

Australians in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay can vote in person at the Overseas Voting Centre in Buenos Aires.

Location: Villanueva 1400, CABA

No appointment is necessary. ID is required to enter the building but not for voting.

Pre-poll voting (in person) will be available at the Overseas Voting Centre during the following times:

Monday 13 May

8.30am to 12.30pm

1.30pm to 5pm

Tuesday 14 May

8.30am to 12.30pm

1.30pm to 5pm

Wednesday 15 May

8.30am to 12.30pm

1.30pm to 5pm

Thursday 16 May

8.30am to 12.30pm

1.30pm to 5pm

Friday 17 May

8.30am to 12.30pm

1.30pm to 5pm

 

If you can’t make it to the Overseas Voting Centre, you can apply for a postal vote at www.aec.gov.au/pva. Complete your application as soon as possible. When you get your ballot papers, complete and return them ASAP to the AEC, to make sure your vote is counted.

If you are unable to vote while overseas, complete an overseas notification form and return it to the AEC. Being overseas is a valid reason for not voting.
